Vickie Noes
Parent's Day Out / Children's Director
Vickie was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, but grew up and lived in southern Ohio until she was 30 years old. In January, 1972, she met her husband, Donald and was married in October of that same year. They will celebrate 50 years of marriage this year! Together, they’ve raise four sons who all graduated from Lighthouse Christian School. Vickie now has seven wonderful grandchildren; five boys, Mason, Leif, Warner, Eli and Caleb, as well as two granddaughters, Lexi and Abby.
Vickie began her pre-school career in 1984 working at Glendale Baptist Church. After moving to Nashville in 1986, she began working at Lighthouse Christian School. After two years, she took a break from teaching in one single classroom, to becoming a substitute teacher for the entire school, including the college. Little did she know what God was preparing her for.
In 1988, Lighthouse Christian School was making several changes with the Pre-school, when Vickie was asked to take over the Pre-school as its Director. Within ten years, the Pre-school had grown from 33 students to over 180 students with a waiting list in every classroom. Vickie credits this to God’s guidance through his Word (Psalms and Proverbs) and being submissive to the state requirements set before her.
Vickie's love for people, and in particular, the “little people” has led her to becoming the Children’s Director at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in 2019, after the move to the new location. She also became the Parents Day Out Director. Her desire is that every parent and child will experience the love of Jesus in both ministries.
