Todd Jacobs
Young Adults Pastor / Elder
Todd was born in Spokane Washington and grew up in Vancouver Washington. He met his amazing wife, Emily, in 1988. They married in 1991 and moved to Nashville in 1994 pursuing a music career. He and Emily both became followers of Jesus in the summer of 1996. Their story about how God drew them to himself is a great story, so ask them about it some time. They have been leading worship music in different capacities since 1997. God has been preparing Todd as a Shepherd for many years but made the calling much clearer in 2019. He stepped into the role of Young Adult Pastor in May of 2020. Todd is very excited to help build on and grow the community of young adult believers at Lighthouse. His vision is to ensure that they are integrated into the church as the vital parts of the body that they are called to be, to help them grow in their knowledge of who God is, who they are in Him and how to employ their God-given gifts, strengths, talents and temperament to honor God and increase His kingdom.
Todd and Emily have two children, Haley (who is married to Tyler) and Cody (who is married to Peyton). They also have 5 grandchildren, Cody’s; Alexis, Kenedi, and John Isaac and Haley’s; Lilah and Quinn. Todd loves to get together with men, especially young men, to help them navigate the rocky road of life; to show them how to walk with Jesus in a way that will enable them to avoid some of the pitfalls he’s fallen into (and learned to avoid) over the years.
Life Verses: "You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. " 2 Timothy 2:1-2
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
Fun Facts: Todd met Emily filming a Music Video in 1998. He and Emily won first place and $25,000 singing in the international talent competition called The Charlie Daniels’ Talent Round-up in 1995. He’s also a little bit obsessed with all things Star Wars. He even likes Episode 1 and Jar Jar Binks.
